Behavior Management for Schools and Universities

Energy conservation is a “people” business where the users connect the pieces to optimize savings. Collaboration and data drive ALL behavior programs and Pierce Energy Planning's (PEP) approach has been able to effectively capture both to allow you to reach your energy goals.  We benchmark, measure, and assess energy and water use throughout the year so your school stays informed of the progress being made. PEP's Energy Behavior Change Program uses campus engagement, competitions, team building and energy/sustainability curriculum to get students and teachers involved in saving energy dollars.  In addition to the teachers and students, we will work with all stakeholders in the school community to educate and define their role in the behavior management program and thereafter, to train, support, and coach them to achieve results.

Working with Pierce Energy has really put our district in a great place to recognize additional energy savings from the behavior perspective. Our consultant has a passion for what she does and that translates when she provides professional development to our staff. Every team member we have worked with at Pierce Energy is interested in our success and helping us achieve our energy goals.
— Jill Barragan, Executive Director of Business Services, Avondale Elementary School District

What sets our behavior program apart:

Your school will be assigned a designated sustainability manager.  Our sustainability managers are true experts in energy behavior management.  Each manager has worked in educational environments, earned advance degrees in sustainability (Masters and/or Ph.D.) and works to develop, create and innovate a program unique to your needs: changing students and teacher’s habits related to energy, waste, water and sustainability.

When appropriate, we integrate many activities related to the energy behavior program into a “Living Laboratory” and engage students in real life activities related to energy management and sustainability. PEP uses national guidelines in creating customized “Campus as a Living Lab” programs.

Behavior Management for Government and Business

Energy conservation is a “people” business where the users connect the pieces to optimize savings. Collaboration and data drive ALL behavior programs and Pierce Energy Planning's (PEP) approach has been able to effectively capture both to allow you to reach your energy goals. We use industry metrics to benchmark, measure, and assess energy and water use throughout the year so your company stays informed of the progress being made. And, we both educate and engage employees in the entire process, allowing them to internalize the concept of sustainability, shift habits and take responsibility for the resources they are using. In the end values are re-shaped and a culture of conservation is embraced.

Our cutting-edge, user-friendly software, Fusebox™, uses data to drive behavior change in your organizations by generating reports and making available interactive tools to assist in achieving energy goals. Fusebox™ has the ability to stream 15 minute interval energy data directly from local utility companies 24/7 so that you can manage behavior and trouble shoot equipment anomalies.
