Sustainability Manager - The Sustainability Manager plays a key role in supporting our clients in saving energy and water. This position falls within our Client Success Area and is responsible for interacting with clients to create energy and water conservation goals, designing a client roadmap complete with specific deliverables to support them in accomplishing their goals, working with the data team to identify electric, gas and water opportunities for saving, identifying impact areas where the client can get the most savings, developing implementation strategies related to saving energy and water, distributing alerts related to energy use as appropriate, providing coaching and training, presenting educational information/reports and working with the data team to deliver the specified deliverables accurately and timely.
Serves as a project manager for implementation of client contracts, scopes of work, and timelines.
Orients, trains, and coaches’ clients to educate and engage them in project objectives and energy conservation initiatives.
Must learn and understand how Fusebox Software works and manages data and analytics.
Must become knowledgeable about all Fusebox data practices, systems, standards.
Has an understanding of utility bills related to grid electric, solar electric, gas, water.
Must be able to understand utility bills, utility rate plans, differences between load and usage, etc.
Must work with excel, csv files and Fusebox to create timely, attractive, relevant and understandable reports for clients.
Must be able to identify impact areas for the client and create strategies to reduce energy and water use and cost.
Must be an effective communicator and comfortable interacting with the public.
Must be able to have conversations with clients about data.
Must be able to present one on one to the client or to large groups of staff/students regarding conservation.
Master’s Degree or higher in sustainability, engineering, project management, environmental science, data logistics or other related fields where a proficiency in managing data is required.
Experience and high-level ability to work in excel and with csv files.
